Biological drilling
Are you still drilling, or are you already hammering?
Biological drilling is a technique developed by BTI: Low speed (50–150 rpm), no irrigation, and gentle bone preparation. This process yields autologous bone material that can be used directly as a particulate graft, combined with PRGF-Endoret®.
Autologous bone
During drilling, particulate bone material is harvested and used directly as an augmentate – embedded in PRGF-Endoret® for optimal hydration.
No overheating
Low rotational speed prevents temperature rise in the bone. Without cooling, bone cells are completely preserved – no necrosis, better osseointegration.
Adapted to bone class
Protocol adapts to bone types I–V: drilling sequence, diameter, and depth are customized according to density and cancellous bone proportion.
UnicCa® surface
Combined with the UnicCa® surface (calcium ions, triple roughness), this creates the optimal bioactive condition for shorter osseointegration times and reduced bacterial adhesion.
Horizontal & vertical atrophy
Minimally invasive solutions for atrophied jaw ridges.
BTI offers exclusive, minimally invasive solutions for severely resorbed jaws: narrow implants for tight spaces, extra-short implants for vertically atrophied areas – often without the need for a sinus lift or augmentation.
Extra-short implants
4.5–7.5 mm in length. Without sinus lift, with sufficient safety distance from the inferior alveolar nerve. Enables treatment of severely atrophic areas in a single surgical step.
3.0 implant line
For narrow ridge crests with transversal atrophy. No augmentation necessary. With expansion technique and PRGF-Endoret®, it can be used predictably even in complex situations.
Vertical atrophy of the maxilla
Transalveolar sinus lift with a drill featuring a frontal cutting edge. Step-by-step elevation, autologous bone from biological drilling, PRGF fibrin membrane. Up to a 6.5–7.5 mm implant, often achievable without a classic sinus lift.
Vertical atrophy of the lower jaw
Biological drilling protocol with a safety distance of ≥1 mm to anatomical structures. Autologous bone and PRGF fibrin membrane for vertical growth. Crestal or supracrestal implant insertion.
