4.4 Cookies
In addition to the aforementioned data, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device associated with the browser you are using and through which certain information flows to the body that sets the cookie (in this case, us). Cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses to your computer. A cookie typically contains the name of the domain from which the cookie originates, the lifetime of the cookie and a unique identifier.
Our website uses session cookies and permanent cookies, the scope and functionality of which are explained below.
Session Cookies
Session cookies are temporarily set cookies. Session cookies are primarily required in order for the user to use our website and, if applicable, to register or log in. These store a so-called session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the common session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to our website, even if we do not know who you are. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.
Permanent Cookies
We also use permanent cookies. These remain on your computer/mobile device for longer. The duration depends on the lifetime of the respective cookie. Permanent cookies are automatically deleted after the specified duration. You can delete the cookies in the security settings of your browser at any time. Permanent cookies enable the website to remember the choices you have made (e.g. registration data, the language you have selected).
Cookie Settings
You can configure your browser settings according to your wishes and, for example, refuse the acceptance of cookies from other companies or all cookies. Please note that you may not be able to use all functions of this website if you reject cookies.
4.5 Google Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies, which enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookies about your use of the website (including your IP address) is transmitted to and stored on Google servers, which are mostly located in the USA. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required to do so by law, or where third parties process this data on Google's behalf.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under this link:
This website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()". This means that IP addresses are processed in shortened form, thereby ruling out any direct personal reference. Insofar as the data collected about you contains a personal reference, this is immediately excluded and the personal data is deleted straight away.
We use Google Analytics to analyze and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics obtained allow us to improve our services and make them more interesting for you as a user. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the US Privacy Shield agreement (link).
